| Ali Rıza Kırkan was born in Miletos, Turkey. He began painting in his childhood years. In 1955, he graduated from the Painting Department of Gazi Institute of Education. After working as a teacher of painting in various high schools, he began teaching in Dokuz Eylül University in İzmir as an Assistant Professor. He retired in 1993 and he is still teaching in his own workshop. He also presents a tv program on painting weekly on a local channel. He had more than 40 individual exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. |
